Brentford Football Club are one of two Championship clubs, along with Burton Albion, who have terracing at their home ground, despite legislation that requires all teams in the top two divisions of English football to have all-seater stadiums.

Clubs promoted to the Championship for the first time have three years to convert their ground to all-seater and Brentford are now in their 4th Championship season.

The Bees are in the process of building a new stadium, which is set to open in two years time. As a result, the club have been allowed special dispensation to continue with terracing until they move to their new stadium.

In the video below, Mark Devlin explains why Brentford are allowed to have standing areas and the process they go through to keep terracing at Griffin Park.
